A broadband connection via satellite is the ideal solution to enable Internetaccess in inaccessible areas such as mountains, islands, forests and jungles. It is hardly possible to lay conventional cables or erect mobile masts in these areas. However, since satellite broadband only requires a satellite dish with a clear line of sight to the southern sky, this technology makes it possible to connect to the Internet from almost anywhere.
This technology is already being used on aircrafts and ships to enable passengers to use Wi-Fi during their stay on board.
